Stephen Omollo, CEO

Stephen has extensive experience in leadership roles in the humanitarian and development sector, having previously served at senior levels with International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, Commonwealth Secretariat and World Vision International.

Stephen is proud to lead Plan International at a time when the importance of its work has never been greater. With deepening levels of inequality around the world and the staggering setback on progress made for girls’ rights, he is committed to doing more, both as a sector and a global community.

Stephen is passionate about working together with girls and youth activists to create a more just and sustainable world. He strongly believes that a failure to act now is tantamount to failing a generation of girls, boys and their communities.
